Thoughts on Our Energy Future

Some thoughts I have on our energy future are support for building a renewable and climate-neutral energy structure and migrating public, commercial, and personal transportation to that structure.  Whether or not one believes in significant climate change caused by humans, this pursuit makes economic and ecological sense, as well as removing toxins created by people from our environment.  Investment in a likely decades-long migration to a non-petroleum-based fully sustainable and renewable energy grid will create a host of jobs and stimulate a broad front of scientific and engineering advancement.  In this investment, care must be taken to prevent any one corporation or conglomerate from dominating the program and asserting political control over its planning and execution.  I would also like to see negotiation of a treaty to expand the construction of a renewable energy grid across all of North and Central America with all of the economic and ecological benefits that investment would provide.
